Our rural location means that we have an abundance of wildlife. We have conserved and protected their habitats, creating wild areas on site and using indigenous plants, flowers and trees in our landscaping. We have a number of nesting boxes for both birds and mammals and a large variety of feeders for birds and red squirrels. Our choice of plant species is carefully considered to encourage bees, birds and bats alike and we have deliberately preserved a number of dead trees around the site as pollinator havens. The fresh flowers that welcome our guests are sourced from our farm / garden.

We promote The Dales Countryside Museum to educate people with literature they provide information on how to look after the area and be greener in action.
